COUNTRY AND
WESTERN SONGS
(For use with Rolf, section 6.2)

28 country and western songs played on a local radio station were surveyed as to content, regarding the themes of TRUCKERS, LOVE, and PRISON, with these results:
2 songs were about an imprisoned trucker who was in love
(i.e., 2 songs involved all 3 themes)

7 songs were about truckers who were in love
9 songs were about lovers not in prison
(i.e., 9 songs involved the theme of love but not the theme of prison)

11 songs were about truckers not in prison
(i.e., 11 songs involved the theme of truckers but not the theme of prison)

22 songs were not about prison
16 songs were about truckers
16 songs were not about love
