Married Barbara Forness on 15 Apr 1859 in
St. Bonaventure church, Allegany, New York. Died 13 Feb 1890 in Allegany. Buried in
St Bonaventure cemetery, Allegany. Nicholas rescued a slave
from the Allegany River near Pittsburgh and trained him as a carpenter. Later he paid
the man $800 to serve for him in the Civil War. After the war, the black man took the
name Nenno and moved to northeastern New York state. This line joins
Elizabeth Nenno Wilson;
through his son Victor Josef, and grandson Clyde Wm.
