HOMEWORK
ASSIGNMENT #1: (Due Tuesday January 29) Send an e-mail to Dr. Kane (kanej@uww.edu) with the subject line: COMPSCI 162 Assignment #1.
In the body of the e-mail give
your name,
your major and minor,
the reason you are taking Computer Science 162,
what your experience has been with word processing programs,
what your experience has been with spreadsheet programs,
what your experience has been with data management programs,
what you like to do in your spare time
- ASSIGNMENT #2: (Due Thursday February 7) Download the file Assignment 2
and follow the directions. You will hand in your file in your student storage space as described in the
assignment.
- ASSIGNMENT #3: (Due Thursday February 14) Download the file Assignment 3
and follow the directions. You will hand in your file in your student storage space.
- ASSIGNMENT #4: (Due Thursday February 21) Work the HANDS-ON EXERCISES from the first chapter on EXCEL
(pages 324-327, 335-339, 347-352, and 357-359) with the following exceptions: Name your file in the style of
this class with your last name, first initial, and the number 4, and do not bother to print the worksheet.
Hand in your work in your student storage space.
- ASSIGNMENT #5: (Due Thursday February 28) Download the file Assignment 5
and follow the directions. You will hand in your file in your student storage space.
- ASSIGNMENT #6: (Due Thursday March 6) Download the file Assignment 6
and follow the directions. You will hand in your file in your student storage space.
- ASSIGNMENT #7: (Due Thursday March 20) Work the HANDS ON exercises from ACCESS CHAPTER 2 in the book (pages
618-624, 635-641, and 654-658), but DO NOT NAME YOUR FILE as the book suggests. Instead name the file using our
usual file naming using your last name, first initial, and the number 7. Click here

contains a WORD document with instructions and an EXCEL file with data. You will create one ACCESS database file.
