The Student Math Association and the Department of Mathematical and Computer Sciences will be holding a back-to-school picnic on Wednesday the 17th of September at 5 PM at Starin Park (the first block off campus to the east on Starin Road).

The SMA will be supplying main courses (including a vegetarian option), chips, and drinks, as well as paper and plastic goods (napkins, plates, cups, and plasticware). You are welcome to bring anything in addition, e.g., salads, fruit, or desserts. We shall also try to have items like footballs and Frisbees available for those studying the trajectories of projectiles. It’s a good occasion for new faculty to meet students in a setting outside of the classroom.
