- Involved with computers since 1972. Involved in UW-Whitewater's award-winning Management Computer Systems program since 1982.
Certifications: RHCE, RHCX.
Contract instructor for IBM teaching Linux server administration. This expericence includes teaching RedHat's RHCE course
sequence and administering the RHCE certification exam.
Operating systems: Unix (Linux) and Windows.
Current Languages: Ruby & Ruby on Rails, C, C++, Java, Perl, PHP/MySQL, Visual Basic.
Past Languages: Pascal, Fortran, PL/I, System 370 Assembly, IBM PC Assembly, and Delphi.
Mark-up languages: TeX, HTML/xHTML/CSS/XML.
Application experience includes Microsoft Office products, including Word, Access, Excel, Power Point and
FrontPage.
Experience includes coding and administering a multi-tiered, multi-server web application running on Linux
servers using Squid, Apache, Ruby on Rails, Mongrel, and MySQL, deployed via Rake and Capistrano.
Experience includes administering a Linux-based ISP. This includes all aspects of setting-up and maintaining
web and e-mail services for my clients.

- Qualitative behavior of ordinary differential and difference equations, particularly oscillation theory and asymptotic behavior of solutions.
Internet-based software and business solutions.
Cryptography and computational number theory.
Sensitivity analysis of large-scale systems.
Mathematics and computer science education and computer ethics.
