To factor 4x2 + 16x + 16 ,
use the form ab + ac + ad = a(b + c + d), to get:
4x2 + 16x + 16 = 4(x2 + 4x + 4).

The larger factor above can be further factored as a perfect square:
4(x2 + 4x + 4) = 4(x + 2)2
