To factor x(x - 2) - 5(x - 2) ,
use the form ab + ac = a(b + c),
where here "a" is "x - 2" , "b" is "x", and "c" is "-5" ,to get:
x(x - 2) - 5(x - 2) = (x - 5)(x - 2)
