On 8 June 1868, Mary Emeline (Emma) Cox and Walter G. Adams were married in Sandwich,
Illinois. This couple raised 3 children, all of whom raised their own families,
leaving many descendents in 2003. Emma's mother, Emeline, was a business woman,
and helped organize at least two photgraphic albums whose quality images were
re-printed many times and passed down the various family trees.
One collection of images is owned by Patricia Stephenson of Washington State.
Pat's grandmother, Clara Crofoot Adams (1876-1975), knew many members of the
Adams and Cox family, and attached their names to the images in this album.
Pat has scanned several of her images, some of which date from the mid 1800's,
for inclusion in this digital album. Eventually, Pat's cousin Kathryn Green of
California may contribute other images.
