PRONI (Public Records Office of Northern Ireland) retains Church of Ireland parish records,
including records for the parishes of Carnteel, Errigal Keerogue, Cappagh, and for both Church of Ireland and Presbyterian Church.
In 2008, COI Carnteel baptism, marriage, and burial records, and Errigal Keerogue baptism records were searched from earliest
(1805) to 1860 for persons named "McFarland" linked to the townland Armaloughy. Searching after 1860, and searches of Presbyterian
records was not requested, but many people in this Wright family were Presbyterian, so these records now assume greater weight.
PRONI in Belfast has suggested what records they have, for future searching.
- Catherine McFarland, born 21 March 1822 (baptism record below). Married 26 March 1847 to John Wright at the
Ballygawley COI, County Tyrone; Catherine's civil marriage record (also below) lists her age as 21 (implying a birth
year of 1826?). From John's will, we know that John Wright and
Catherine McFarland had at least 3 children: Andrew, Matilda Jane, and Emily,
probably in that order based on the sequence of dated images in the Kelly Album. If there were more than
these 3 children, the others likely died before John created his Will about 1885. The
civil marriage record names Catherine's father "Andrew McFarland" and Andrew's townland "Ardmaloughy".
The father must then be Andrew McFarland (born 1790), since only one McFarland family lived
in this Carnteel townland. Late in life, Catherine lived with her daughter, Emily Mary Brown in Caledon
(see * Irish censuses with daughter Emily below). Catherine died 4 April 1917 in the district of Dungannon, age 95 (* Emerald Ancestors) and is buried with
her husband at St. John's COI, Caledon Village.

( * ) The term "Spinster" is used to describe a woman who had not previously been married.
The term "Ardmaloughy" also appears on the headstone of Andrew McFarland (born 1790)
"Tullyrimon" or "Tullyremon" is probably in Aghaloo Parish
- John Wright; born about 1812, son of Francis Wright (from FHL civil marriage record) married Catherine McFarland on
26 March 1847 at the Ballygawley Church of Ireland. From John's Will,
we know that John Wright and Catherine McFarland had at least 3 children: Andrew, Matilda Jane, and
Emily, probably in that order based on the sequence of dated images in the
Kelly Album If there were more than these 3 children, the others likely died before John
created his Will about 1885.. John Wright died 3 Sept 1885, buried at St. John's COI, Caledon Village.
(See headstone inscription above)
- Andrew Wright (a brother of John Wright ??);
married on 26 June 1842 to Sarah Wright
(PRONI MIC 583/26). This couple had children Sarah Anne, David, and James. From
Andrew's will,
Sarah Anne married a Mr. Grey and bore at least one daughter, also Sarah Anne. There is a problem
with the 1842 marriage date, because the census data (below) for the son James suggests he was born 1839.
There is a civil record of the marriage of Mary Jane Wright (possibly a daughter of Andrew) to George Hoey:

Evelynn Cartwright writes: "I was looking at my Eliza Oliver that married
John Fleming whose son married one of my Downs. I noticed an Annie Oliver married James Robertson Wright.
One son was Samuel David Wilson Wright born in Tullyrimond. Several children are mentioned. I remember
seeing a lot of Reids buried at the Eglish Cemetery"
- James Wright (son of Andrew Wright, this "Andrew" being the brother of John Wright).
The Eglish church has a record of the marriage on 24 March 1891 of a James Wright to Mary Anne Kelly
( = Minnie , daughter of Joseph Kelly), this couple having 3 children: Sarah Olivia, Andrew John, and Ernest Joseph (see census below).
Ernest is probably the "Ernie" mentioned in a 1956 letter from his aunt Emily Kelly:
Sarah Olivia is named in the 1907 Will of Charlotte McFarland) Kelly;
at this moment, it is not absolutely certain how John, Andrew, and James Wright are related, but the dates provided are
consistent with James being the son of Andrew, who (in turn) is the brother of John. Mary Anne Kelly is
probably a daughter of John Wright's sister-in-law, Charlotte (McFarland) Kelly.

- Andrew Wright (son of John Wright), named in his father's 1885 Will,
inheriting John's farm. There are several photos of Andrew Wright in the Kelly album.
The frollowing are English census records listing Andrew Wright in Epsom, Surrey, as a single argicultural laborer,
born 1851 in Caledon, Ireland. The McCormick family states that Andrew is buried there, and a photo of the headstone is below.

- Matilda Jane Wright, born about 1851, married on 21 August 1877 to
Robert Kelly at the Minterburn Presbyterian Church
in Aghaloo Parish, Northern Ireland (record from Roots Ireland, below; FHL has index only). Matilda died 19 December 1927 at age 78,
Matilda's date and age from the Eglish church. The children of this couple are listed in the census records below.
The Eglish Church records provide the following birth and death dates for the children of this couple:
Mary Anne Kelly, born 1 February 1880
Emily Kelly and Matilda Kelly (twins), born 20 November 1882.
Emily Kelly died 11 May 1915 age 32
Matilda Kelly is thought to have married a Roman Catholic
Robert Kelly, born 17 November 1885, died 4 October 1912 at age 27
James Kelly, born 24 March 1888, died 20 December 1963 at age 75

- Robert Kelly. The Eglish church records (and civil record in FHL) state
Robert's death in 1914 at age 92, but PRONI records it (below) on 4 October 1912 , hence born about 1820.
Robert is almost certainly the younger brother of Joseph Kelly, who married
Charlotte McFarland. Charlotte is the youngest sister of Catherine (McFarland) Wright. Robert Kelly
is mentioned in the 1883 Will of Joseph Kelly, but since Joseph
mentions no other siblings, we might conclude there were no other siblings, at least none that survived until 1883.
Robert was married
to Matilda Jane Wright on 21 August 1877 at the Minterburn Presbyterian Church
in Aghaloo Parish, Northern Ireland (record from Roots Ireland, above).

- Emily Mary Wright, born 19 November 1857 (baptism record below;
1901 census imlies birth about 1860):
see her mother Catherine above), married 9 April 1888 to William Canovan Brown (son of John Brown) at the
Caledon Presbyterian Church, County Tyrone. A civil marriage record exists. This couple had no children of record. Emily died
21 October 1940, aged 84 (headstone inscription at St. John's COI, Caledon Village). An abstract of the Will of
William Canavan Brown is available on PRONI's website, listing only Emily and a man named
John Wilkin as heirs to an estate of £108 10s. 6d. Renee McCormick states that John Wilkin was a cousin of William C. Brown,
and a photo showing both exists.

- James Kelly (Sr.), born 24 March 1888, married Ethel Caddoo. This couple
had at least 6 children (from Ethel's obituary), namely Doris, Ivy, Jim, Renee, Hazel, and Heather.
James died 20 March 1963 at age 75, this date supplied by the Eglish Presbyterian Church. Ethel Kelly,
died 27 January 1990.

- Doris Kelly, age 84 in 2013, hence born about 1929, married a Mr. Lawson, with at least one daughter, Patricia,
with whom Doris lives in Armagh (County Tyrone). Doris also has two sons, Robert and Richard, both married with
two children each.
- Ivy Kelly, lives on Vancouver Island, Canada
- James Kelly, Jr., unmarried, lives on the family farm near Knocknacloy
- Renee Kelly, born 24 December 1935, married David McCormick in April 1964. This couple has 2 children:
Penelope Jane (born Frebruary 1965) and Alistair David (born 1969), both unmarried in 2012.
Renee and David live in Hillsborough (County Down). Renee trained as a nurse, and David retired about 2000
from the Health Service.
The Kelly family retains
a Victorian Era photo album which was passed down from Emily (Wright) Brown; the contents of this album
were probably strongly influenced by Catherine (McFarland) Wright, who lived with the Brown family in Catherine's
later years (1901 and 1911 censuses above), and may soon be available on this website.
- Hazel Kelly, married, with two sons, Johnny and Philip
- Heather Kelly, married to a Mr. Burns, with two sons: Angus Burns (born about 1978) and Timothy (born about 1981).
The earlier above information contributed through the efforts and skill of Evelynn Cartwright, Canada. The latest data from
the kind attention of Rev. David Brown at the Presbyterian Church at Eglish, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, and by email
from Renee McCormick and Heather Burns in Northern Ireland.
