Page 31 (right) of Cox Album
Print made by C.E. Orr, Sandwich, Illinois. Nothing is written on the print. The woman's clothes dated 1855-60.
This couple appear to have 2 daughters. This is probably A.M. Cox and Emeline,
with the first of their eventual 4 children to survive to
adulthood, namely Maria (also called Mary or Emma) and Ella. Maria was born in 1850, and Ella in 1855, a
difference of 5 years, and the children in this photo appear to be about 6 and 1 years old.
Later photo of Mary and her obituary?
Emeline apparently bore two earlier sons who died in infancy. |
