To Miss Hannah

May happiness be ever thine
May peace thy steps attend
Accept this tribute of request
From her who is my friend.

May you be heavens peculiar care
May all your plans succeed
Be but as happy as I wish
And you'll be blest indeed.

Though many a joy around the smile
And many a faithful friend you meet
Where love may chew lifes dreary way
And then the bitter cup to sweet.

Let memory sometimes bear the buck
To other days almost forgot
And when you think of other friends
Who love thee Well. Forget Me Not

Though little time has past
Since first with you I met
And Oh we must not part.
For you I never shall forget.

Oh may this charming interview
To us so long - so kindly given
Prove a sweet bond to bind
Our souls in heaven.
