To Miss H.P.R.
As o'er the cold sepulchial stone
Some name arrest the passer By;
Thus, when thou view,st this page alone
May mine attract thy pensive eye!
And when by the that name is lead
Perchance in some succeding year,
Reflect on me as on the dead
And think my heart is burried hear.

signed "M.H.B. / Baltimore May 1842"
Handwriting is identical to that of
"Ahtram" (= "Martha" ?) in poem 14
Perhaps "Martha H. Balch" ?
