This account will be re-written several times in the year 2010, but this first draft is written by Tom L. McFarland, after visiting Joan Juehring in Iowa Falls, Iowa on 17 July 2010.

Joan was born Joan Doris Brinkmeyer, and married John Paul Robbins, this couple having 3 children. When Joan's parents passed away, the family memorabilia and photographs were divided among ten children. Parts of this large collection which are kept by Joan were scanned for this album by Tom McFarland, whose daughter Diana married one of Joan's grandsons (Tyler Robbins). Joan's collection consists of several loose old photographs and 2-3 bound albums, from which images have been selected for display here; hence, page numbers assigned to the selected images are not linked to any order in Joan's collection.

Tyler Robbins is an accomplished photographer, and he will eventually contribute to this album, or create another in his own style and format. Thus, these pages are very much a work in progress.

Joan is actively contributing her memories as her family assembles this album, and it is possible that eventually, Joan's siblings may contribute as well. It is possible that we can link Joan's family to existing records for the Brinkmeyer family members in Germany.
