- William Landis Berchler . Is it a
coincidence that this man's son-in-law (John Nicholas Nenno) later had a daughter (Adele)
who married a William W. Landis
- Thomas Lynch, born in Ireland; married Katherine Cunningham, with whom he had only one child,
Margaretha. Katherine eventually re-married to James Butler, and the new couple was identified
as grandparents to Margaretha's 12 children; hence, this writer (Tom L. McFarland in 2006)
proposes that Thomas Lynch died soon after 1854, probably in New Ulm, Minnesota.
- Katherine Cunningham , born in Ireland. Katherine appears to have been married
to a James Butler after she married Thomas Lynch, probably upon the death of Thomas Lynch?
From a reference in the obituary for
Margaretha Lynch, it appears that James Butler had two children by an earlier marriage,
Edward and a girl who became Mrs. John Igo, both living in very small towns near New Ulm
in 1932, when they are mentioned in the obitiuary of Margaretha (Lynch) Nenno
- John Nicholas Nenno , born 6 Sept 1845
in Buffalo, NY., married in 1868 to Agatha Berchler in Nenno, Wis., divorced 19 May 1874 in Washington Co. Wis.,
died 21 July 1924 in Mankato, Minn., buried in Holy Trinity Cemetery (New Ulm); civil
war vet, hotel operator; had only one child (John J., see below) by this first marriage,
which apparently ended when Agatha Berchler refused to move from her parent's home to a
separate home (according to Jean Landis Illian).
John Nicholas Nenno remarried on 7 July 1874
(in New Ulm, Minn) to Margaretha Ellen Lynch, with whom he had 12 more children (listed).
A life-long and concerted effort was made to conceal the first marriage from these 12 children,
but eventually Emily Roscoe found the divorce records.

Wis., died 12 May 1902 in Beaver Dam, Wis, where she is buried; had only one child
(John J.) Photo. On the 1900 US census, Agatha appears to
say she was born in Switzerland

- John J. Nenno, middle name was "Gerald" (according to Mary Lu Nenno in 2003),
born 26 Dec 1868 in Nenno (Wis), married Bertha Zastrow, died 27 Sept 1937
in Beaver Dam (Wis), where he is buried. He had 4 sons and 3 daughters. Pictures.
For the 1900 US census, he is listed as "John N. Nenno", born Dec 1869, living with his 53-year-old mother Agatha in Beaver Dam.

- Frank J. Nenno (Cap), born 13 Nov 1874, married
Florence Runnels (born about 1880 ?). There were no children to this union, but Florence
brought two children from a previous marriage, namely Rita (who married Walter Hull)
and Gladys (who married Gorden Collins). Frank died

- John N. Nenno, Jr, born 11 July 1876. Died 21 July 1918. John
apparently left home early and wandered before returning home. John married a Clara X.

- Ellen E. Nenno, born 22 April 1878, married Clinton McDonald (born 4 Feb 1875, died 14 June 1950).
Ellen had a son, Lloyd , who married Angie (last name unknown); Angie was born 13 Sept 1910
and died 11 June 1980. Ellen had a daughter Gladys who was born 11 Nov 1900, Died 16 June
1990 in Waseca, Minnesota ; Gladys
married John Lindquist (born 4 May 1895, died 24 May 1972) and they had children Carola
and Leatrice (Letter from Gladys. Both Gladys and Leatrice are listed
in the SS death index; Leatrice born 7 July 1942 and died December 1975 in Minnesota.
Carola married Charles Fell and had 5 children..
Ellen died June 1968 in Waseca, Minnesota.

- Albert E. Nenno, born 12 Sept 1880 in New Ulm, Minnesota, died young
- Albert J. Nenno, born 16 May 1882. Married Clara X.
(who was born 4 Mar 1888, died 9 Aug 1950). Albert re-married Mae X. Albert died 5 May
1962, without having children, donating some family pictures
to the New Ulm Historical Society, where they were found by Eileen Jurgenson.
- Florence Mary, born 22 March 1884 in New Ulm, Minnesota, died 19
April 1980 in Billings, Montana, buried there in Mountview Cemetery; married
William Peter Roscoe on 4 June 1908 in New Ulm (Minn). This couple had 4 children, and
many grandchildren. A large family history was been written
in 1981 by daughter-in-law Emily Covert Roscoe of Billings, who (at age 82) lives in

- Leo James Nenno, born 23 Sept 1886 in New Ulm,
Minnesota, married Cora Kutz (born 7 Dec 1891, died 28 Feb 1989) and had 2 children,
Stanley and
Mildred ; Mildred was born 1 April 1912,
married a Mr. Spotts, and died 2 October 1986. Leo was a barber who (according to Jean
Landis Illian) introduced his sister Adele to a client and her future husband, William
W. Landis. When Leo discovered he had a half brother John J., Leo visited John's son
Bob and Bob's wife Mary Lou. Leo died 26 June 1971 in Mankato, Minnesota
- Elsie M. Nenno, born 8 May 1889, married Wm. C.
Anderson (who was born 1887 and died 2 Sept 1935); Elsie had a daughter Kathleen (born
12 Jan 1917, married to Peter Esser, died 11 January 1999. Peter was born 17 Mar 1917,
died 1 July 1989) and a son Don living in Phoenix, Arizona, as
of June 2001.

- Lillian C. Nenno, born 1 Mar 1892 in New Ulm, Minnesota,
married John (Jack) P. Saenger (1887-20 Aug 1968) and lived in Mankato, had 4 children:
Mildred (~1920-~1996, married Harold Gauthier and possibly
later a Howard Wilder?); William R. (died in July 2001 in Laguna, California)
married Ann X. ; Helen (~1920 - 13 May 1966, married a
Mr. Rose); and Donald (born about 1920).
Lilian died 24 Sept 1967, perhaps in State of Washington
- Adele Mary Nenno, born 27 June 1893, married 20 Nov 1911 to
William Walter Landis; during the 1940s lived on Apple Tree Lane just north
of Greenfield Avenue at the south edge of what is now Brookfield near Milwaukee, and in the 1970s lived at 534 Mill Road in Wildwood,
Illinois with her daughter Jeanne, where she died 3 October 1980; buried with her husband
William in Wis. Memorial Park, Milwaukee, Wis., Mausoleum Sac. "T" . Adele had 2 children, 6 grandchildren, and 10 great-grand children.
- Eulalia (Lala) B. Nenno, born 8(7?) Nov 1896,
died 10 Oct 1985, on 15 Jan 1949 married
Charles Seely, had one child Eileen (born 23 Sept
1918) living in Winnebago, Minnesota in January 2005.
- Charles Seely, born 14 April 1895, married Eulalia (Lala) Nenno, having
one child Eileen (Jurgenson). Charles had a bother Earl and twin sisters (Mary and ?). Mary
became Mrs. Vincent Collison, lives in Colorado, and acquired some of Eileen's old photos.
Earl had 3 children (Earl Jr., a brother, and a sister).
Charles Seely died 14 Feb 1948
- Eileen Seely, born 23 September 1918 in Clinton, Iowa, married Alvin Jurgenson (8 April 1911 - 2 October 1992) on
15 January 1949 in North Mankato; the couple did not have children. Eileen died 17 April 2010 in Winnebago, Minnesota.
Additional life details are available in her obituary. Eileen led a fairly active life until shortly
before her death, when she fell and broke her hip. Videos available (CD only)
- Richard E. Nenno, born 1 Feb 1901. Died at age 2 months in Sandborn, Minnesota
