The woman's image also appears in the Potter album, identified as Phoebe Ann (Davids) Vermilye, and the man is quite likely Phoebe's husband, Valentine Mott Vermilye, who was a medical doctor in Sandwich, Illinois. Phoebe Ann Davids is a sister to Emeline (Davids) Cox and Henry S. Davids. |
