THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT
of me Joan Risdon of Washford Somersetshire Widow first I will and direct
that all my just debts funeral expenses and the costs of proving and carrying into
effect this my Will be paid and satisfied by my Executrixes hereinafter named out of
the first money that shall come to their hands after which I herein give and
bequeath all and singular the Residue of my Personal Estate [wady?] money
bonds bills notes debts and securities for money of whatever nature or kind the
same may be over which I have any power or which I may be entitled to at
the time of my decease (except as hereinafter particularly mentioned) unto all
and every my sons and daughters who shall be living at the time of my decease
share and share alike And in case of the death of any or either of the said
sons or daughters during my life time leaving any Child or Children him her
or them surviving then it is my will that the share or shares of such of my
said Child or Children so dying shall go to and become the property of the Child
or Children of such of my said sons or daughters so dying as aforesaid and
that the Children or Child (as the case may be) shall be entitled to their parents
share of the residue of my property hereby bequeathed as and when he she or
they shall attain twenty one years of age or day of marriage the interest of such
share or shares in the meantime to be applied towards their education and
maintenance until they shall attain the age aforesaid or day of marriage when the
share or shares to which they may be entitled in light of their parents so dying or
shall become their own property I give all my wearing apparel and [linen] together
with my bed and bedding and all other my Articles of household furniture of every
sort and kind unto my daughters Elizabeth Symons and Jane Risdon share and
share alike as her and their own for ever I also give my gig and harness and
the appurtenances thereto belonging unto my daughter Elizabeth Symons I hereby
nominate constitute and appoint my said daughters Elizabeth Symons
Jane Risdon joint Executrixes of this my last Will and testament In
Witness whereof I the said Joan Risdon have hereunto set my hand and seal
the thirtieth day of April One thousand eight hundred and twenty nine –
Joan Risdon – Signed Sealed and delivered by the said Joan Risdon the
Testatrix who published and declared the same to be her last Will and Testament
in the presence of us who at her request and in her presence and in the presence
of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses hereto –

Proved at London 19th September 1838 before the Judge by the Oath of
Elizabeth Symons (wife of William Symons) one of the Executrixes to whom
Admon[?] was granted having been first sworn by Commission duly to Administer
power reserved of making the life grant to Jane Howard (formerly Risdon Spinster)
Wife of Sydney Howard) the other Executrix when she shall apply for the same
